'Ambulante' promove Bitcoin na praia de Ipanema

Crypto Milled – ‘Ambulante’ promotes Bitcoin on Ipanema beach – News

The cariocas who frequent Ipanema beach, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, do not live on coconut water alone.
On Sunday (14), a “street vendor” strolled through the sands in front of Posto 9 promoting Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency in the market that is increasingly attracting the attention of Brazilians.
More precisely, he was promoting the services of 99Pay, a digital wallet linked to the 99 app, the first unicorn in the country.
As reported by CriptoFácil, 99Pay is offering users of the cashback app in Bitcoin. In addition, the platform allows for the purchase and sale of BTC without charging any trading fees.
Users can carry out transactions from R$10 up to a maximum value of R$10,000. The new functionality has been available in the app since November 3rd.
So, to promote the new services, 99 carried out a promotional action on the beach in Rio.
As reported by O GLOBO, starting next Thursday (18th), company promoters will also distribute “chocolate cryptocurrencies” and explain to people how to download the app via QR Code directly from the beach.

The 99 app’s target audience is Generation Z. That is, people born between 1997 and 2012. The platform’s objective is to offer a range of different services from the traditional ones.
Through the app, users can also transfer and share messages with photos, comments and emojis, like on a social network.

Brazilians want cryptocurrencies

Recently, a survey commissioned by 99 revealed that 81% of digital wallet and bank users have heard about cryptocurrencies. However, only 27% really know how cryptocurrency works.
The study also found that 54% of respondents who do not invest in cryptocurrencies are interested in starting.
As hindrances to the investment, they cited lack of knowledge or difficulty in purchasing.

According to 99, the app is the result of a survey of digital natives to identify their needs. According to 99, this is a generation more concerned about money than the millennials.
